21 Tips to Stay fit & Healthy

Far too often fitness is presented as complicated & confusing. Nothing could be farther from the truth. Being fit & healthy is an outcome from living the following simple everyday practices.


  1. Throw out your big dinner plates. Using small plates promotes weight loss.
  2. Create a network of accountability with family, friends and colleagues or, your local fitness expert.
  3. Believe in you. You CAN accomplish your goals.
  4. Exercise should be uncomfortable, but not painful. Uncomfortable creates changes.
  5. Know that the hardest part is turning up for your workout.
  6. Drink water all day long.
  7. Maintain your good functional metabolism by eating a healthy snack or meal every three hours.
  8. Replace the WILL-power with WANT-power. How truly do you want it?
  9. If it once swam, flew or walked, it’s a better food choice over processed foods. Processed  food is high in empty calories and chemicals that are harmful to your health.
  10. It’s OK to be a skeptic. Watch out  products that are labeled as “Healthy Food”.
  11. Talk is cheap. Act now and get the job done.
  12. Exercise with people that are in better shape than you. You’ll push yourself harder.
  13. Overindulge in positive self talk.
  14. Don’t drink your calories. Swap your sugary drinks and juices for water.
  15. Pay attention to everything that you eat.
  16. Exercise at least three or four times each week. Even if it’s 15-20 minutes on occasions.
  17. Eat plenty of whole plant foods. Veggies and fruits are filled with fiber and antioxidants.
  18. Mix cardiovascular exercise and resistance training to turn your body into a metabolic furnace!
