If you want sweet and fruity smoothie drink as long as summer last, try this strawberry pineapple smoothie recipe. It is great for an afternoon snack or breakfast boost energizer.
- 1 cup strawberries (tops removed)
- 1 cup fresh pineapple (diced)
- 1/2 cup skim milk
- 1/4 cup orange or pineapple juice
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 tsp truvia or any other natural sweetener
- 4 ice cubes
Add all the ingredients in blender or food processor and blend until smooth. Pour into glasses and serve. This recipe is for 2 large glasses or 4 small glasses of strawberry pineapple smoothie.
For a vegan version of this smoothie recipe, you can also replace the skim milk with your favorite soy, rice, or almond milk.
If you like your smoothie thicker, you will need frozen strawberries and more ice. For a thinner consistency, use less ice or fresh strawberries (fresh strawberries contain too much moisture that turn into water).
If the pineapple is too tart, use more of your favorite sweetener.
