Quick & Easy Health Remedies How to Practice Good Health at Home By Dr. Bill Cole

Knowing how to address your own health and wellness is an important aspect of life in today’s world. Having the ability to treat certain symptoms and ailments from home is always a nice benefit of knowing your way around various health remedies, but it is also a good way to save yourself a trip to the doctor. Additionally, learning all about quick and easy health remedies allows you to get to know your body just a little bit better – and that is always a plus.

In this short article, we are going to introduce a few quick and easy health remedies that everyone should know. We’ll take a quick tour down below through these remedies, but before we do that, let’s break health down to the foundational building block of our bodies – the cells.

Everything Happens at the Cellular Level

It’s difficult to ignore just how important the individual cells in our bodies are toward our overall health and wellness. You see, every function happens at the cellular level, and just the same, every dysfunction happens there as well.

Remember, our cells are the building blocks of our bodies, which means that when something is wrong with our bodies, something is occurring down at the cellular level. All symptoms and diseases stem from what’s going on in our cells. A lot of what makes us healthy or unhealthy comes down to these beautiful and wonderful building blocks of life – and that means we need to know how to care for them and support them.

A Four-Exchange Diet

First off, one of the best ways to improve your health revolves around the foods that you eat. Remember, the foods that you’re putting into your body are eventually going to make it down to your cells, and when this happens, your cells will make a determination – it will either be good for them, or bad for them. If it’s good for them, you’ll likely be supporting your overall health. If it’s bad, it can contribute to a disease, illness, or negative symptoms.

To prevent that from happening, our four-exchange diet gives your body everything it needs to maintain optimal health and wellness. Take a look:

  1. Get Rid of Bad Fats

Bad fats are essentially fats that cause cellular inflammation. When our cells become inflamed, it becomes a breeding ground for more symptoms that can leave us feeling under the weather. Keeping your cells in optimal shape will help to ensure your overall health.

Good fats are the opposite of bad fats – instead of causing cellular inflammation, they contribute to healing the bilipid membrane that exists on the outer coating of our cells. This membrane is integral to the overall health of the cell, as well as the overall health of our bodies. Consuming healthy fats like extra virgin olive oil, raw nuts, seeds, avocados, and others, will all contribute to a healthier cell membrane and ultimately, a healthier cell.

  1. Get Rid of Unhealthy Proteins

Getting rid of unhealthy proteins is absolutely critical. Swap out conventional beef for grass-fed beef, switch conventional chicken for pasture-raised and antibiotic-free chicken, etc. These are simple and easy choices that you can make at the grocery store, and they’ll certainly make a difference down at the molecular and cellular level in your body.

  1. Cut Out Sugar

Sugar is, has always been, and will always be a major detriment to our bodies. Sure, it tastes wonderful, but it’s in everything – at least in one way or another. Sugar isn’t always seen as pure, white cane sugar. Sometimes, it’s seen as syrup, like high fructose corn syrup. Other times, it’s seen as dextrose. Additionally, there are artificial sweeteners out there too.

It’s also important to remember that some carbohydrates are just as bad! In fact, carbohydrates are likely your primary source of sugar because foods that contain carbohydrates turn to sugar in our bodies. Foods like breads, pastas, and rice all taste great, and they make wonderful additions to meals, but they turn into sugar the moment they go through our digestive system, and that simply won’t support your overall health.

  1. Clean Water

Many of us underestimate just how critically important clean water is in our daily lives. For the most part, we probably don’t even consume enough water daily. And the water that we do drink is likely filled with chlorine, fluoride, and other cleaning agents that come along with it.

Instead, shop for clean, pure water when you’re in your grocery store. You can also purchase a water filter at home to help filter out some of those toxins from the water that comes out of your tap. Drinking enough clean water each and every day will support the overall health of your cells and thus, your body.
