Natural Remedies For Sebaceous Hyperplasia

If you have sebaceous hyperplasia, you should not fret for it is fairly common to have them, especially when you are reaching middle age or older. In order to ensure that you are in full health, you probably want some healthy options to cure this irritable condition. Here are some natural treatments to alleviate, if not completely get rid of, sebaceous hyperplasia.

– Essential Oils

Oils such as peppermint oil and lemon oil are effective astringents and have great antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. All you need to do is to apply the essential oil to the affected area.

– Apple Cider Vinegar

The acetic acid found in apple cider vinegar is effective in penetrating through the skin safely without having to destroy living cells as it dissolves cysts and minimizes the overgrowth of oil glands.

– Lemon Juice

Similar to apple cider vinegar, lemon juice has malic acid and ascorbic acid that are effective antiseptics that prevent and eliminate underlying infections. Simply apply the lemon juice in the affected area for it to work its effects.

– Warm compress

Warm compress dissolves the build-up of sebaceous glands and it also speeds up the draining and healing process of the skin. Thus, this is a very good treatment for sebaceous hyperplasia. Soak a towel in hot water and cover the area with the hot compress. Repeat the steps for at least two to four times a day until it disappears.

– Aloe Vera

Pure aloe vera is a good skin moisturizer and contains anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties which will help the skin drain itself of excess bacteria in order to get rid of sebaceous hyperplasia. Simply apply fresh aloe vera gel into the affected area and gently massage the area until the gel has been fully absorbed. For best results, repeat up to 4 times a day.

– Turmeric and Mint Juice

Turmeric has curcuminoids, which contain curcumin. Curcumin is a strong anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial agent that may help fend off sebaceous hyperplasia. Mint juice soothes the area with its cooling properties while acting as an antiseptic and anti-pruritic material which will help get rid of bacteria that clogs up the affected skin. Simply make a paste and leave it on the affected area for two hours then wash with lukewarm water.

– Honey and Cinnamon powder

Cinnamon is loaded with so many antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties which will help the skin go back to its original state. Honey, on the other hand, has antifungal, anti-bacterial and antioxidant properties that are beneficial to your skin. To enjoy their benefits, simply make a paste and apply on to the affected area and wash with lukewarm water after two hours.
