One of these microscopic creatures is Demodex, a tiny parasite that feeds of human hair follicles. Demodex is only 0.3-0.4 mm big and is often found on the brows and lashes. Demodex can sometimes leave the hair follicles and walk through its host’s skin, especially during night. These microscopic creatures aren’t dangerous, although they can sometimes cause skin irritation and skin disease such as Rosacea.

Demodex can be transferred from one host to another through touch and hair contact. Most people that have Demodex aren’t even aware of it.
