Homemade Deodorant Stick

Many deodorant found in store contain all sorts of toxic chemicals such as aluminum, parabens, Propylene glycol, Phthalates, Triclsoan etc. Aluminum is metal linked to breast cancer in women and increased risk of Alzheimer’s disease; parabens can cause disruption in hormonal balance; Propylene glycol can damage the central nervous system, liver, and heart.

So stop using all these toxic chemicals and make your own natural deodorant.

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • 1/3 cup coconut oil
  • 3 tbsp. grated beeswax
  • 2 tbsp. Shea butter
  • 1/3 cup arrowroot powder
  • 2 tbsp. baking soda
  • 10 – 15 drops essential oil

Preparation:

Mix and melt the coconut oil, beeswax, and Shea butter in a small pan over low heat. Stir until it’s melted. Once everything is melted, remove the pan off heat and add in the arrowroot powder and baking soda. Add the essential oils. Mix thoroughly and quickly.

Pour your mixture into two empty deodorant containers. Let the mixture cool down for a couple of hours. Use your homemade deodorant as you would any other deodorant.
