The newest makeup trend that’s taking over Instagram is called “Dolphin Skin” and people are loving it, especially beauty bloggers. “Dolphin Skin” is sexy and luxurious and perfect for the summer.
The trend was started and named by the famous makeup artist Mary Philips. She explains that the skin has a sheen glow, a touch of dewiness and the smoothness of a dolphin.
“Dolphin skin is hyper-glowing and youthful, super-plump and hydrated, with the makeup applied in sheer layers to keep dimension. It looks effortlessly done, but in actual fact, it takes an absolute full-symphony orchestra to achieve. It’s all about building and enhancing dimension on the skin focusing on the high points such as the brow bones, the cupid’s bow, and most importantly, the cheekbones,” explains makeup artist Lisa Caldognetto.
The key thing to get this incredible look is to properly moisturize your skin and use high-shine highlighter along your cheekbones. For an emphasized effect, apply a few layers of glossy products, such as a glowing oil primer, glossy shadows etc.
