Lemon tart is our favorite dessert. Here is how to prepare this very lemony-flavored dessert.
For the crust:
- ¾ cup butter
- ½ cup white sugar
- ½ tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
For the lemon cream:
- 1 ½ cups white sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1 tbsp. lemon zest
- ½ cup freshly squeeze lemon juice
- ½ cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. confectioners’ sugar
Add the butter, ½ cup sugar, vanilla extract, and salt in a mixing bowl and mix thoroughly. Add flour into butter mixture to make a smooth dough. Press dough into a 9-inch tart pan. Put it in a refrigerator for 30 minutes.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and bake the crust for 15-20 minutes or until light golden brown.
In a bowl, whisk sugar, eggs, lemon zest, lemon juice, and 1/2 cup flour until smooth. Pour lemon filling into crust. Cover edges of crust with strips of aluminum foil to prevent burning.
Bake tart for about 20 minutes or until filling is set. Put it in a fridge to cool completely. Dust with confectioners’ sugar and serve. Enjoy!
