Airplanes Break Their Rules so Pets Can Escape Fire and Fly With Their Owners

Canada was struck by massive wildfires these days, so more than 80.000 Fort McMurray’s residents had to flee their homes. Luckily, Canadian North Airlines and West Jet made the process much easier by allowing people to fly with their pets.

“It’s definitely unusual to carry pets in the cabin, but due to the unusual circumstances we were able to bend the rules to accommodate these animals during this crisis,” says Canadian North’s Kelly Lewis.

In normal conditions, pets are kept in the cargo hold during the flight but luckily these two companies have given people the joy to fly with their pets in the cabin.
