A solo travel fun is the most beautiful gift you can make to have a different point of view on the world and “force yourself” to bring out the best in you. 6. Learn other languages, or at least the basics. Then gestures always help: the smile is the same in all languages.
7. Discover and learn to use resources you did not even think you had.
8. So you take out another yourself, which you did not know before. And maybe a better version!
9. Realize if you want to be with other people. With a partner, for example. Or with friends. Because first you learn to be with yourself and this will prepare you better than anything else to be with others.
10. Learn to appreciate every moment and savor it intensely. When could he get back to find you in such a fascinating and distant place in life?
11. Learn to appreciate diversity. But also to understand its limits. A priceless wealth, skills that cannot be studied.
12. You will appreciate more your home: you will miss it. And on the way back it will be beautiful.
13. You will appreciate the company more (very useful if you are misanthropic). Too much loneliness hurts, even if it is so liberating
14. Learn to orient yourself. It’s called survival!
15. Learn to defend yourself. Same as above.
16. Learn to avoid difficult or dangerous situations. Being alone, better to prevent than to treat. So you will come home more cautious and careful.
17. Learn to arrange yourself. An art that is not learned in any other way. In life, it will always be your trump card.
18. Learn to manage your finances. A fundamental gift in today’s society.
19. Learn a lot from mistakes: as they can hurt you while you are traveling alone, you will be much more careful not to repeat them.
20. Your comfort zone? A distant memory. But it is an obligatory rite of passage to teach you to be the person you dream of.
21. It makes you feel truly free, without cohabitation or forced situations. Without timing, duties, schedules. Freedom is a wonderful thing and once you know it, you’ll struggle to get more and more. And you will understand better what goals to pursue in life.
22. Understand what independence and autonomy are, with all the advantages and responsibilities that come with it.
23. Overcome laziness inherent in you and in life with mum and dad. You will not like ready meals anymore, you will prefer to prepare them yourself: they will have a different taste. But on the other, you will appreciate much more the cuddles and the small attentions from those who love you.
