This 19-Year-Old Cat Has a Unique Fur Due To A Rare Skin Condition

Meet Scrappy, the cat with the most stunning coat. Once all black, now this cat is slowly turning white, due to a rare skin condition known as a vitiligo. Luckily, this doesn’t affect his health, and Scrappy is one very happy and playful cat.

His owner, David bought a black kitty  19 years ago from a lady who was selling kittens as her cat had a litter of 6.

“Scrappy was sitting on his own and, though he was cute, we didn’t think others would regard him to be as cute as his siblings. I made the decision to take Scrappy as I knew he would be the last one to be taken, if at all,” he said.

The white patches started appearing when he was 7-years-old. Today, despite his age and condition, Scrappy is completely healthy and a total diva cat who likes to rule in the neighborhood.
