Women are Using Pheromones to Find Love – Gimmick or True Story?

If you’ve been around long enough to watch late night commercials or read magazines with sketchy looking ads on the back page… chances are, you’ve heard of “pheromones”.

Pheromones are basically natural scents that humans, and other mammals produce to create a wide array of effects on the same species. Some of the intended effects include warding off predators, leaving food trails, but perhaps more interestingly – attracting potential mates.

The question is, do they really work?

We reached out to Phero Joe, a professional reviewer of pheromones for men at House Of Pheromones for his opinion.

“A lot of men and women look into pheromone products as a “quick fix” for their social, romantic, or professional problems.

Unfortunately, as powerful as pheromones are, they are not magic.

They won’t make women hound you for your phone number, nor will they turn you into the “life of the party”… what they will do, is give you a huge “leg up” in your social, romantic, and professional life.

Developing well rounded social skills, confidence, charisma, and other attractive personality traits is something everyone should strive for.

And while pheromones can and do help, you still have to develop the personality traits to truly make them “work” how they’re supposed to.”

While the website is more geared towards men, it does have a lot of profoundly moving information about attraction, and how pheromones play into that.

In a more recent development, “pheromone parties” have also been taking off in major cities all around the world. From New York, Los Angeles, Seattle, all the way Auckland, New Zealand.

The premise of these pheromone parties is that men and women are to sleep in an article of clothing for several days, and then on the day of the party seal them in a bag for potential “mates” to sniff out… and once there is someone who finds the natural “odors” attractive, they are introduced to eachother.

Surprisingly, this is a fantastic experiment for the sake of social sciences, and even just for fun to see if it really works.

But as we found out, dating is a bit more complicated than just finding someones scent attractive. As our expert Phero Joe stated, there is also the question of physical attraction, “chemistry”, and how well the 2 people in question are matched in their belief systems and other “standard” dipsticks of compabatibility.

Either way, this was one of the most fascinating experiments we’ve ever done, and we look forward to seeing where this “pheromone technology” could go into the future.
