Humans are the most evil on Earth and this story is going to support that fact! One passer-by saw a heartbreaking image when he found and rescued a small dog in the forest in Sakarya, Turkey. The defenseless puppy had all his legs and tail cut off and was left there to die. The poor little dog was rushed into surgery, but unfortunately passed away during the treatment. One man was arrested on suspicion of animal cruelty, has been accused of the dog’s death and is now waiting for his trial.
This case has opened so many questions ahead of the next week’s Turkish elections. Animal right groups have been fighting for more strict punishments for animal cruelty and the politicians have been on the same page in condemning the attack.
“Whether at home or on the street, we will take the law into consideration and evaluate it. This operator was arrested today. The authorities in Sapanca ordered his arrest. There is nothing acceptable about this, but it is very important to show this awareness,” said President Tayyip Erdogan during an election rally in Instanbul.
He also promised to improve the animal rights laws in Turkey, if he gets elected again.
The opposing presidential candidate Meral Aksener also gave his support for the legal changes.
“This brutality against a small being is a painful manifestation of the loss of values in our country. I hope to God that those who hurt a small puppy find what they deserve in the afterlife. If only they would do so in this world with the correct laws as well,” he wrote on his Twitter account.
