Woman Took a Selfie Every Day for 6.5 Years While Battling Anxiety and Depression

When Rebecca Brown was only 14 years old, she got diagnosed with trichotillomania, an impulse control disorder that causes her to pull her hair out of her head anytime she feels anxious. From the ages of 14-21, Rebecca took a selfie each day and created an incredible video for her YouTube channel. All the photos she took demonstrate her physical transformation-from long hair to short, her travels and her first visit to the hospital. The video also contains notes about her fight with depression and her suicidal tendencies.

In the comment section of the video, Rebecca wrote:

“Beauty is more than what we see with the eyes. People are more than their conditions. I am more than my hair and skin. This only shows my exterior, I hope that people will check out my videos to see more of the girl inside.”
