The Month You’re Born Determines the Diseases You Might Be Facing in the Future

Researchers have concluded claims that the month you are born may correlate with your predisposition for specific diseases. The scientists from the University of Columbia created software that compares your birth date with disease history. They compared 1.688 diseases and birth dates of more than 1.7 million patients in the New York-Presbyterian Hospital/CUMC between 1985 and 2013. They discovered a connection between 55 diseases and birth months.

“There’s no need to worry about the results of the research. Although we found a connection between the two, that doesn’t influence as much as a healthy diet and exercising,” explain the scientists.

The study, published by the Journal of the American Medical Informatics Association, shows that people born in May are the healthiest.

People born in October are at biggest risk of getting any type of disease.

People born in April and May are at risk of having cardiovascular problems.

People born in October and November are at risk of having respiratory problems, such as asthma.

People born in March have the highest risk for atrial fibrillation, congestive heart failure, and mitral valve disorder.

People born in November are at greatest risk of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).

“The information we collected during the research can help us discover new risk factors’, explain the scientists.
