Tabata- The 4 Minute Workout That Will Give You Incredible Results

The new workout trend that is taking over Instagram is called Tabata and people love it. You must be wondering what’s Tabata?

Well, it’s interval-based and highly efficient workout that consists of 20 seconds intense exercise followed by 10 seconds rest, all this repeated 8 times. This 4-minute workout sounds too good to be true, right? The inventor of the newest exercise trend, Dr. Izumi Tabata, Japanese physician and researcher claims that the results are really staggering.

The National Institute of Fitness and Sports In Tokyo conducted a study where 2 groups of people were tested for 6 weeks. The first group did high-intensity Tabata while the other did 1 hour of moderate intensity exercise, 5 times a week. The results showed that the group that did Tabata had a greater increase in their anaerobic and cardiovascular system.

The greatest thing about Tabata is that you can do it at your own home and you won’t need any fitness accessories unless you wanted to!
