Meet Banana, the most energetic dog ever. He is just really silly and has a lot of energy. The 4-year old Chihuahua mix loves to tease other dogs and run around the yard as fast as he can.
“He’s always moving around. You can’t get him still for a minute to get a normal picture of him,” says Shilah Remsburg one of the staff members at the Lollipop Kennels, a boarding facility in Texas that houses rescue dogs.
What’s also unusual for Banana, is that he has long legs and body which makes him to strike the silliest poses ever, including one that makes him look like a crab.
He was actually crouching down to jump up on me when I took that photo. His arms and legs are just so long — it looks hilarious,” says Shilah.
Banana’s life wasn’t always this fun. The police seized Banana, Pear and Peaches, his siblings and their mom Apple last October after being neglected and starved by their owner.
“Banana was part of a nine dog group that got taken during a police raid,” Remsburg said.
Peaches unfortunately died very soon after arriving at the kennel.
“They all came in with upper respiratory infections. They were malnourished and Peaches was too weak and didn’t make it,” says Shilah.
Pear got adopted last December and Apple and Banana are still waiting for a loving family. Shilah explains that Banana would be perfect for someone with an active lifestyle.
“He doesn’t like to be held much. He just likes to run around. He’s not the type of dog who would just sit and chill.
He’ll be a handful for sure. He’s going to need someone to throw him a toy or ball and give him some exercise. I love his goofy personality. He’s fun and he makes me laugh. He’s definitely a cool pup,” says Remsburg.
