1. Avoiding Proteins

Many people don’t have time to cook breakfast and that’s why their favorite quick breakfast is a cup of coffee and a muffin to-go. It’s a tasty combination but the bad part is that this type of breakfast lacks in proteins. Many researches have shown that a breakfast rich in proteins will balance your blood sugar levels and reduce hunger. Try to start your day with 2 hard-boiled eggs and an apple.

2. We Drink Too Much Juice

Juices can be a great source of vitamins and minerals but drinking too much juice can cause some health problems. A new study published in “Appetite” magazine shows that people who drink too much juice and not enough water during the day, have a higher blood pressure.

3. We Eat the Wrong Fat

It’s a known fact that our body needs certain fats to function. Nutritionist Bonnie Taub-Dix says that mainly people reach for saturated fats that are actually bad for our health. She recommends a breakfast rich in healthy fats: yogurt with some chopped nuts.

4. Artificial Sweeteners

A study published in “Nature” magazine shows that artificial sweeteners can disrupt the balance of the bacteria in our stomach. Nutritionist Brooke Alpert recommends you to drink your coffee without adding any type of sweetener. He also says that adding some cinnamon in your morning coffee can improve your metabolism.
