Kids With Cancer Transform Into Real-Life Superheroes

Sky Dancer, Speed Boy, Super Shiner and Captain Cure are the names of the new superheroes. No, they don’t play in a blockbuster, even better they’re real life superheroes. These superheroes are actually kids with cancer that got the chance to transform themselves into their own superheroes thanks to the students from the Fashion Institute of Technology in NY.

Mahlai Clark is 5 years-old and his superhero alter-ego is Sky Dancer. Sky Dancer is a superhero that dances on the clouds, stops crimes and changes the weather.

“My superpower would be to cure cancer… by giving children candy, and the candy has a medicine to cure cancer immediately. My superhero is not here to hurt or scare anybody “says the 9-year old Aiden Cintron who has leukemia.

The 4-year old Kevin Miller is Speed boy, the superhero hat can sprint like the wind.

Super Shiner is the 7-year old Chloe Mitchell. She can fight bad guys, thanks to her golden light.

All these kids worked with graduate students from the Fashion Institute to create the perfectly detailed and unique superhero costumes.

The kids even did a professional photo shoot. Celebrity photographer Victora Will had the pleasure of photographing the amazing superheroes.
