Focus T25 Workout Program Review

The T25 workout program is a home workout program that was created by fitness celebrity Shaun T. The idea behind creating this program was to create a workout program that emphasized all the useful aspects of a traditional workout, in a shorter period of time. And at the same time, eliminating the useful parts of a workout.

The result of his hard work? The creation of the T25 workout program. The T25 workout gets its name partially from Shaun T’s name, and from the amount of time that it takes to complete each workout, which is 25 minutes.

Only requiring twenty five minutes each day, this workout is designed to help you get the most out of every workout.

What is the T25 Workout Program?

More or less, the T25 workout program is a condensed version of the INSANITY workout program. This workout program is 25 minutes of putting out your maximum effort, with absolutely no breaks. Yes, you heard that right. You don’t get any breaks at all throughout the entire 25 minutes.

The entire purpose of this workout is intensity, paired with efficiency.

You can also do it with minimal equipment. All you need is a workout mat, and an exercise band, which both are included with the program.

T25 Cycles

The base T25 workout routine is broken up into two different cycles. Each will last approximately five weeks. These two cycles are the Alpha, and Beta cycles.

Alpha

The Alpha cycle is more focused on developing your overall fitness, and focuses vary hard on combining exercises to include numerous different muscle groups. The five routines in this cycle are the:

  1. Speed 1.0
  2. Total body circuit
  3. Ab intervals
  4. Cardio
  5. Lower focus

As you could probably guess, the cardio workout is 100% pure cardio. The speed 1.0 workout is incredibly fast paced, and was created to place exact pressure on the body. This helps with losing weight and building up your endurance.

The total body circuit is the culmination of the entire alpha cycle, and is more or less a combination of all the different workouts.

The ab workout is mainly a combination of abdominal exercises, and cardio.

The lower focus workout is where you’re going to really be hitting the legs, which should be very appealing to all you ladies out there.

Beta

The Beta cycle is more focused on helping you lose weight, and help you to see the muscles that you developed during the Alpha cycle. The five workouts in this cycle are as follows:

  1. Core cardio
  2. Speed 2.0
  3. Rip’t Circuit
  4. Upper focus
  5. Dynamic core

The core cardio routine is quite similar to the ab intervals workout, but much, much harder. Since we are in the second cycle, the workouts are designed to be much harder than the first.

The speed 2.0 routine is again, a much more intense version of the speed 1.0 routine. No surprise there.

The Rip’t circuit routine is considered by many to be the most difficult workout in the entire program. This workout is an intense workout that involves all of the different muscle groups, and will have you drenched in sweat by the end of it. It’s a full body workout!

The dynamic core routine is more of a dynamic ab routine, meaning there will by a lot of shifting your weight around, using your core to stabilize yourself.

Last but not least, the upper body circuit is exactly what it sounds like. It’s an upper body workout that is designed to help you burn a bunch of calories, while giving you a good pump in the upper body.

Who is This Program For?

Popular opinion says that this program is for people who are new to fitness and exercise. But, you must also consider the fact that there are no breaks during the workouts. This doesn’t leave much room for adjusting if you’re a beginner.

That being said, the Alpha cycle does use fairly basic workout moves. So it is friendly towards beginners. There are also modification moves for every exercise in the program, in case you can’t perform some of the exercises.

As far as getting the most out of your workout, while getting the most for your time, you really can’t beat the Focus T25 workout program.
