It was a nice and sunny day when Ariana Smoak’s life was changed forever! She was coming back home from work when she saw a little dog on the street. She stopped her car and went to check on the dog. When she got near the dog, a bunch of puppies suddenly came out of nowhere, desperately needing of help. The puppies were with their mom and they were all dirty and covered with fleas. Ariana got the puppies and their mom, put them all in her car and took them home. She and her mom managed to raise some money to take them to the vet so they can get the care they needed. The puppies and the mom eventually found a loving home, except for one puppy.
“We found homes for everyone, but Sunny and we fell in love with him so we ended up keeping him,” says Smoak. “I wouldn’t change the experience for a thing,” she says.
Sunny is such a goofy and lovable dog that adores playing with everyone. He has tons of toys that he loves but one in particular is his favorite.
Ariana has a rug in her home that constantly get curled so she placed a brig on the corner to keep it flat. The brick was just a quick fix until Sunny fell deeply in love with it.
“He used to chew and lick it. Our other two dogs don’t care for it,” says Aiana.
Sunny became obsessed with the brick. He played with it all the time. The family thought that he will eventually grow out of it, but he never did.
“We just realized as he got bigger and bigger that he would lay with it and found comfort being around it, so we just keep that one on the rug for him. My mom and I are so used to it being there we don’t notice it,” explains Ariana.
“He’s an absolute goofball,” Ariana said. “He’s always happy even when he’s in trouble. He’s super silly.”
