3 Ways to Naturally Improve Your Vision

We spend at least 40% of the day staring at computer screens, TV and cell phones. Unfortunately, that can cause eye fatigue and eye problems. Luckily for you, there are ways you can improve your vision. Follow these 3 simple tips and improve your eyesight naturally!

3-Ways-to-Naturally-Improve-Your-Vision-1

1. Exercise Your Eyes

Doing simple exercises can help you maintain your optimal vision. Do these exercises every morning and before going to bed just remember to wash your hands before doing them. Daily practice can give you amazing results in just one month.

  1. Rub your hands to warm them and then place them on your eyes for 5-10 seconds. Repeat this 3 times.
  2. Massage your temples with your thumb knuckles in small circles, 20 times in both directions. Repeat the same above the middle point of the eyebrows at the forehead, and below the eyes on both sides of the bridge of the nose.
  3. Roll your eyes. Look up, then circle clockwise 10 times and counterclockwise 10 times.
  4. Practice mini naps. Close your eyes, put your head back and relax for 3-5 minutes.
2. Foods For Bright Eyesight

A good diet can help you maintain a bright vision. Here’s what you need to take to improve your vision and to function optimally:

  • Antioxidants, beta-carotene, lutein, and zeaxanthin, can protect your macula from sun damage. Dark leafy greens, egg yolks, pumpkin, sweet potatoes, yellow peppers and carrots are just some of the food that contains huge amounts of antioxidants.
  • Vitamin C, A and E are essential for maintaining good vision.
  • Foods that contain huge amounts of cysteine, lecithin and sulfur can help you protect your lens from getting cataract. Try adding more garlic, onions and shallots to your diet.
  • DHA is a fatty acid that can boost your eye health. Foods that are rich in DHA include wild salmon, sardines and cod.
3. Give Your Eyes R&R

Getting enough and quality sleep is key to maintaining healthy eyesight. While you sleep, your eyes rest, recover and repair and that’s why you should get at least 8 hours of sleep.

If you work on a computer, take a 10 minute break each hour. If you feel like your eyes are really tired, lie down and put slices of cucumber on your eyes.
