18-Year Old Blind Dog Dumped in A Shelter, Falls In Love With The First Person She Met and Gets a New Chance in Life

The 18-year old Dachshund called Muneca lost so much in her life. She lost her vision and her family who decided to dump her in a high kill Baldwin Animal Shelter in California.

The adorable, senior dog didn’t want to end her life like that, she wanted to feel loved once again. Luckily, Muneca met her very first person in the shelter and immediately fell in love with her. The moment Muneca met Elaine Seamans, a longtime volunteer, she didn’t want to let her go. The old, blind dog leapt into her arms.

Photographer John Hwang was there and captured this touching moment he witnessed, while he was at the shelter taking photos of the ‘hard to adopts.’ He posted the photo on his Facebook and fortunately it was seen by Frosted Faces Foundation, a rescue group that took Muneca to the vet and placed her in a nice foster home.
